A documentary filmed on location in Croatia during the 1997 International Children’s Festival. The video includes interviews with the children, artists, performers, critics, and directors who participate in the stories and traditions which are passed on during the Festival. Featuring performance footage by troupes from Russia, Switzerland, Italy, Bulgaria, Austria, and Croatia. The video examines the history of the festival and shows how it has managed to remain a postive force in the lives of children despite the setbacks of the Balkan War. “Kids in Flux” was shot and scripted by Josh Worth and Maureen Weiss and was edited by USC Film grad, Rian Johnson (long before Last Jedi). The video was shown at the benefit performance of Carousel of Dreams and at a press conference at the 1998 International Children’s Festival in Croatia.
