ACTORS WANTED!   Do you feel like you spend more time auditioning than you do acting? Have you ever fantasized about going into an audition and acting like a complete idiot? Have you ever wanted to sit in on someone else's audition and watch THEM act like a complete idiot? If so, then this is the show for you...   On Saturday February, 12 at 8 PM, Trade City Productions and The Powerhouse Theatre will present a reality-based theatre piece / game-show where actors will audition in front of a live audience for roles in a never-to-be-produced play.   Why squander your expensive acting school training on some low budget equity-waiver play when you could win cash and prizes just for auditioning?   To participate, just show up at the Powerhouse Theatre on Saturday, February 12 at 8 PM with a copy of your worst headshot. Mingle, have a drink, then at 8:30 the contestants will be announced and asked to perform a scene. The most creative and outrageous auditions will move on through a three round elimination process until the final winners are decided.   As with any other audition, your performance will be scrutinized by a panel of so-called experts Ð each with their own questionable opinions on what constitutes good acting. Make sure to bring plenty of friends since audience applause can sway the judges.   Or just come and watch as the L.A. audition scene gets spoofed, exposed, and turned into the silly game that it is.
